The Writing Process
Spielberg wrote a 40-50 page story treatment for Disclosure Day — his own original idea about UFO disclosure. He then brought in Koepp, his frequent collaborator, to develop it into a full screenplay.
Koepp confirmed in 2025 that production had wrapped, meaning his screenplay has been fully realized on screen.
