Where Things Stand
Disclosure Day opened in theaters June 12, 2026 and is currently in its exclusive theatrical run. Universal has not announced a digital or streaming date yet. Because the film opened softer than hoped ($197.5M worldwide so far against a ~$300M break-even), Universal may keep it in theaters longer or move it to digital quickly to capture home audiences. Both scenarios are in play.
Streaming Platforms
Peacock (Confirmed Destination)
As a Universal film, Disclosure Day will stream on Peacock after its theatrical and digital window. Based on how recent Universal tentpoles rolled out, expect it around September at the earliest, October 2026 more likely.
Premium VOD (Expected First)
Digital rental/purchase on Amazon, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and Google Play is projected for mid-July to early August 2026. Predictions cluster around July 14, July 28, or August 4 depending on how theatrical holds up. Expect ~$19.99 rent / $24.99 buy.
Netflix / Other Platforms
Universal's current deal sends films to Peacock first. Netflix or other platforms would come much later, if at all.
Expected Timeline
Should You Wait for Streaming?
Critics say no. With John Williams' (possibly final) score and a finale reviewers called among the most emotionally riveting of Spielberg's career, the theatrical experience, especially IMAX, offers something streaming can't replicate. IMAX showings are still running while the film is in theaters.
